I feel sad today. It's almost been a month and I've nothing new to post. I've been sick and worried about my Dad, thinking about my Mom, and just trying to pick myself up from gloomy thoughts and look on the other side. You know I love clouds and grim weather, but there is always.. just a bit of sadness at the end of Summer.
Kitty from next door always has to be outside when I have heavy groceries. I have to stop and pet kitty you know, as my frozen pizza rapidly begins to thaw.
Dark Corridor #4 is now available from Main Enterprises. This issue contains 5 illustrations for the story 'The Beggar and the Devil' by Thomas Sawyer. Be sure and order extras for friends!
It's a hot August night. The station's finally quieted down a bit. Time to get a whole smoke in. Just sitting and listening to the bugs bounce off the lights. It will be time to make coffee soon, the first trickle of morning rush customers will start in about a half hour.
This is something of an attempt at Jack Davis' character 'Mike Hammer-Schlammer' from issue #1 of EC's Panic comic. Another submission for the upcoming EC tribute Mini-comic.
The links I've posted here and on FB for the Gravedust pages on Zuda, now direct you to the new Zuda site, The Zuda Collective It's the official Zuda blog, explaining what has happened to the original competition webcomic. It sounds like a new direction all together for Zuda, and lots of people seem upset about it. All kinds of angry posts on the FB Zuda, with Zuda staff growling back.
Uncle Creepy and Vampirella have all the fans. Cousin Eerie gets the underdog status! Since I've had my nose in Eerie magazine back issues all spring, I thought it was time for a Eerie homage.
This much I can tell you, It's unlikely you'll be seeing any more of this strip. Whatever was there for it when I started isn't there now. I wanted to do a dark, shadowy ongoing comic strip. I'm not so sure I picked the best subject matter. (For me, anyway). I've never been keen on guns either. Someone mentioned 'Stray Bullets' and that was it. I couldn't write this anymore and have it be originl and cool and authentic sounding. Unless I hear major protest, this is probably it for Tommy Pepper.
(Not to say this is the end of sequential comic strip ideas though, oh no).
It's kind of hard to explain but, this is my third blog. To make a long story short, through two computers and three internet providers, I ended up running my last blog 'Cloudy Outside Comics' off a 'ghost' Google account, using my old email address. I lost internet Tuesday and was back on Thursday. I couldn't log on to my old blog however. My old account, where I had the original Gravedust blog on, is now this one. Makes perfect sense... right?
